WHAT IS TYPE 1 DIABETES
Type 1 diabetes. Is an auto-immune disorder when the pancreas stops producing insulin which can cause a build-up of glucose(sugars) which is called high blood sugar because insulin gets rid of sugar in your blood. Insulin helps blood sugar enter the cells in your body for use as energy but if the pancreas stops producing insulin you would have to give it manually.
Symptoms

Constant thirst
Losing weight rapidly
Sweet smelling breath
Constant urination
These symptoms are caused by your body trying to get rid of ketones. Your body is trying to make you urinate and then your body is continually dehydrated to get rid of ketones but when the body does not get insulin and ketones form.
What is it like to have type 1 diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes can be very dangerous if you do not manage it well. People with type 1 diabetes do have to watch what they have to eat which means looking at the back of the nutrition panel on the back of food products to figure out how much insulin is needed to eat that type of food. (MORE CARB, SUGAR, AND SATURATED FAT THE HIGHER THE INSULIN DOSE IS). And if too much insulin is given low blood sugar (hypo) occurs but if not enough insulin is given blood sugars can go high(hypoglycemia).
